Fenland Light Railway

March 15th 2020 – Running Day –  Cancelled

We have made the hard decision not to open tomorrow 15th March 2020 for our running day.
0ver 90% of our volunteers are in the high risk category for this current virus and/or have someone at home that is.

While there is no offical directives in place for events like this to close, we as a committee need to provde the best duty of care to our volunteers as possible, hence we have made this hard decision.

Sorry to all our supporters that come and visit us and we hope to see you all again soon and will understand the reasons why we have made this decision.

FLR Commmitee

Your Local Miniature Steam Railway is back for a full 2019 season of events !!

Although the FLR has been established for over 20 years we took the decision in 2013 to move  just 100 meters along Mereside Drove to our all new track and building to secure the future of the railway and provide a much better facility.

Our new site was officially opened by Lord De Ramsey in October 2014.

Our aim is to provide a local attraction that is accessible and affordable for all.

As well as Public Running Days at our site we provide an exciting venue for a Birthday Party and also take our portable track to support local events.

This year we will be running a number of themed events such as an Easter Egg Hunt, A Cream Tea Running and A Halloween Special, as well as our popular Santa Specials. So keep an eye on our website, Facebook and Twitter feed for all the latest info.

We are always open to new members, and welcome people along to come and see what we do !

The Big Lottery Fund were kind enough to give us a grant towards the cost of laying the track at our new site

Thanks to Ramsey Millions we have a lovely gazebo and tables for our outside events, and a sign cutter for all our signs
